Huckleberry is a dream horse. This gelding was abandoned at a boarding stable and subsequently rescued by The Huppie Syndicate at a lien foreclosure sale. We were told that he was a former San Bernardino Posse mount that was retired due to a bowed tendon which has healed. He was given to a family as a horse for their children. We have been researching his past and the California Mounted Horseman's Association has been very helpful. Currently he is in recovery. Sweet, willing and genuinely desiring a connection with his human, Huckleberry is good under saddle. So far we have only been doing walk/trot riding along country roads but to date he has been unflappable. This is truly a dream horse.
